Please help today to change these statistics tomorrow:

  • The number of Canadians aged 15 and over with Learning Disabilities rose by almost 40% in 2006.*
  • 35% of students identified with Learning Disabilities drop out of high school. This is twice the rate of their non-disabled peers. **
  • Only 51% of adult with Learning Disabilities are employed as compared to 89% of the general population.**
  • The Conference Board of Canada determined that dropouts from the high school class of 1987 will cost society more than $1.7 billion in lost taxes.
  • Volumes of research have shown that between 30% to 70% of young offenders have experienced learning problems.
